Course Description:  ECG recognition is a key skill required to be successful in determining a patient’s condition and knowing which algorithm to apply.

 

To introduce healthcare providers to normal pediatric rhythms and help prepare them to recognize basic cardiac arrhythmias in clinical practice, the American Heart Association has created Learn: Rhythm Pediatric. This online, self directed course allows healthcare providers to gain proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition in an effort to provide better patient treatment and save more lives.

Q: Does this course offer a certification or credential?
A: No. Completion of this course does not result in an AHA course completion card. However, a certificate of completion is available for the student to print at the end of the course. Students may also apply for continuing education credits upon completion.

A: No.
Q: How long does this course take to complete?
A: On average, this course will take students approximately 2 ½ hours to complete.
Q: Is there a score that must be achieved by students in order to successfully pass this course?
A: Yes. There are two parts to the exam. A score of 84% or better in both parts is required to pass the course and receive a completion certificate.

Q: How many attempts does a student have to pass the completion exam?
A: A student has up to three attempts to successfully complete the Learn: Rhythm Pediatric exam. If the student fails to pass within three tries, he/she will need to purchase a new license to attempt completion of the exam again.
