Course Description:  Our 20-hour state approved EMT-Basic Refresher course is 1 week in length. It is perfect for anyone looking for a solid review and update of EMT-Basic based on the current curriculum and text. It combines didactic and psychomotor lab to prepare students to provide emergency care to patients in the pre-hospital setting.
This course meets and exceeds the U.S. Department of Transportation EMT-Basic National Standard Curriculum. Emphasis will be placed on the recognition and treatment of life threatening emergencies.
On successful completion of this course, all require-ments needed to sit for the National Registry testing certification are included (you must meet the state requirement of employment*).Others will obtain a college transcript show-ing completion of CoMT’s course. Our program also exceeds National Registry of EMTs requirements for those wanting the challenge the NREMT Basic Exam.
