Course Description: The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens program is designed for people directly or indirectly exposed to bloodborne diseases. This course covers modes of transmission, protective clothing, equipment, and corrective actions to be taken in the event of contamination. Meets OSHA requirements.
A course completion card will be given after conclusion of 1.5-hour course.
Participants learn:
* General OSHA Standard for bloodborne pathogens training for anyone with a real potential for occupational exposure
* How to Protect yourself from exposure to bloodborne pathogens
* How to act appropriately when a bloodborne pathogens exposure occurs
* How to clean up after a bloodborne pathogens exposure
* How to properly report any bloodborne pathogens exposures
Please note: This course is not appropriate for students who need certification in a healthcare program requiring 4 or 7 hours of HIV/AID training. Please see HIV/Aids training program offered.

AHA Online Bloodborne Pathogens
