Course Description:  The Heartsaver First Aid gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic first aid care for medical emergencies, injury emergencies, and sudden illnesses until medical personnel arrive and take over.   This course does not include information on breathing or cardiac emergencies.

Participants will learn how to:

* Check an unconscious victim                       * Recognize an emergency
* Minimize the effects of shock                      *
Use the EMS system/9-1-1
* Treat sudden illnesses, including poisonings and heat and cold emergencies
* Perform First aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, and injuries to bones, joints, and muscles,  
such as sprains and strains                              

Upon successful completion of this course, participants receive a certification, valid for 2 years.

Is this class state and L & I approved?  AHA is a Nationally Recognized Organization and this program meets state & national guidelines.   This course also meets OSHA & WISHA requirements.
Materials Needed for Class:
If the student needs the books and materials sent to them, they will have to pay the charge for shipping

Books:  Mandatory “Heartsaver First Aid” Text - $15.00
                                           Textbook Rental: $7.00

Online AHA CPR, AED and/or First Aid courses

If you cannot find a class date that does not work for you, students can take the AHA Heartsaver CPR online class.  After you finish the online portion, print the completion certificate and schedule a time to take the skills test at our facility.  Upon successful completion of the skills test, we will issue you the AHA Heartsaver CPR card immediately.  Click
