Course Description:
The Basic Concepts & Technology of IV Therapy program is an 8-hour course that is great for LPNs, RNs, EMTs and any other medical professional who need to earn their certificate, enhance, or refresh their skills. The training will include in-depth lectures, discussion, and may include videos as well as hands-on practice to ensure a complete learning experience and understanding of the delivery of IV therapy. The program will also include overall technique, maintenance and complications of IV Therapy. Participants will each get to demonstrate a simulated insertion. A certificate will be awarded after successful completion. There will be a variety of the latest equipment for hands on viewing. A certificate is awarded after successful completion. This course is a prerequisite for Advanced Concepts & Technology in IV Therapy.

Materials Needed for Class:
Mandatory  “I.V. Therapy Made Incredibly Easy 4th Edition” Text - $51.94 (978-1-60547-198-3)
Practice test and handouts are given to each participant during the program.

Bring a pen or pencil, a note pad, and a lunch (if needed).

Additional Information:
If the IV program is setup through DNS and is under our contract, the participant will pay $210.00 at our facility or $215.00 at their location for an 8 to 16 hour program tailored to fit the needs of the group (minimum charge of 6 participants).
