Founded in 1995 by Susanne Suttich under the name Medical Training Consultants Inc (MTCI), MTCI became the first American Heart Association designated Training Center in 1995 offering CPR, ACLS & PALS.  Susanne traveled across the state of Washington training CPR to thousands of students.  Soon, she found herself instructing CPR classes across the nation.   Over the next several years the business expanded into instructing and placing IV lines for patients in hospitals and long term care facilities.

In 2002, MTCI acquired a GSA contract and began teaching classes to the Federal Government.  This led to the distribution of life saving training aids to the Federal Government.   Many of these manufactures we continue to distribute today (Laerdal, Nasco & Gaumard).

As the company continued to grow, MTCI began to outgrow it’s training facility. In 2003 we moved to our current location in Lakewood, Washington, a 10,000 Square Foot training facility with 5 classrooms and room for tons of instructor files.  In 2004, MTCI began teaching vocational medical classes, including Certified Nursing Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians.

Due to the enormous growth of these classes, the thriving success of the GSA contract and the consistent expansion of the IV services, we made the decision to split the companies.  In 2006, the College of Medical Training (CoMT) was created to separate the American Heart Association and the vocational classes from the GSA Contracting and the IV Services.   We have since split MTCI into two separate companies. MTCI maintains the GSA contracting, and the IV Services now carries the name IV Nursing Consultants (IVNC)

Today, the College of Medical Training is one of the largest AHA Training Centers in the Nation, and growing.  We have instructors in almost every state across the nation and have trained military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We believe in the basic principles of providing competitive prices and providing the best possible service in the industry.  The College of Medical Training strives to be the business you trust and can count on.

Our company was created with four basic values instilled in us by Susanne’s father, Larry Doppke, Integrity, Honesty, Trust and Faith.  These values are the pillars of our success.  We take great pride in being a family owned and operated business; we look forward to servicing all of your needs.  Thank you for your business.
